A two-minute brand film for adhesive maker Sestec, lit with warm tungsten light and combined with 3D animation of its bio-based products at macro scale.
Sestec makes adhesives and chemical solutions based largely on natural, bio-based materials. For its rebranding the company needed an image film that would communicate this, and the obvious risk was the sterile, clinical look typical of films about the chemical industry.
We deliberately went the other way. To capture the warm, natural character of the products and the colours of the adhesives, we lit with traditional tungsten lamps, warmed further with CTO gel, and looked for halation in the lens so the image felt sunnier and closer to the viewer. We shot in Silesia on a Sony FX6. To show what happens at macro scale, and how the adhesives are used, we added 3D animation of the chemical processes behind them.
We delivered a two-minute brand film and a photo shoot for the rebranding.
