A charity short film for the UEK MBA Gala raising funds for St Lazarus Hospice, starring Paweł Brandys and Katarzyna Gołąb of Teatr Współczesny.

Every year Panopticon Films makes a film for the charity gala of the Executive MBA programme at the Cracow University of Economics, and covers part of the production cost itself. In 2026 the gala auction supported St Lazarus Hospice in Kraków, and the film had to reach an audience of managers.
We wrote and directed a short drama, The Most Valuable Investment. Marek, a manager in the middle of a crisis at work, comes to the hospice to say goodbye before a flight. He keeps stepping out to take calls while a volunteer quietly cares for his relative, until it is too late. Paweł Brandys and Katarzyna Gołąb of Teatr Współczesny play the leads, with Rafał Kośmider as the patient. We shot on a Sony F5 CineAlta with a raw recorder and prime lenses for a cinematic look.
The film ends with an appeal from the gala organisers and the hospice president, linked to the Fields of Hope campaign.
