AMVET – Veteran Social Campaign

Veterinary clinic AMVET wanted to draw attention to the needs of older pets. Like older people, they have their own history and age-related problems, but cannot tell us about them. The clinic treated the film as a social campaign rather than an advert for itself.

We built the film around talking senior dogs and cats, each with its own character and voice. Directing animals was the main challenge, so trainers and a dog behaviourist worked on set. Animals that did not get along were filmed separately and brought together in compositing, so they appear to talk to each other. The cast included Pluto, known on Instagram as Pluto on wheels (https://www.facebook.com/plutonakolkach), who lost his hind legs and performed in his dog wheelchair, and Bunia the bulldog. Six voice actors gave the animals their voices.

We delivered a 60-second spot and a campaign photo session.
