Vasco – M3 Translator Commercial

Vasco Electronics is a Polish company that has grown into one of the world's leading makers of electronic translators. The M3 was designed by our sister studio Husarska, so this commercial was a personal project for us. The challenge went beyond the shoot: the spot had to work in many markets, each in its own language.

We built the script around an everyday situation in which a translator proves useful, which gave us a natural reason to show the device at work. We shot in Kraków on a Sony F5, and in post-production we animated the M3's interface on screen. Every localised version then received a translated voiceover, a translated interface and dubbed dialogue for the actors.

The result is a 52-second online spot delivered in eleven language versions, from English, German and Spanish to Japanese.
