Thirty days in the Tuva Republic, Siberia, for Tridon Active Excursions: films on rafting, riding and off-road trips, plus a documentary on the region.

Tridon Active Excursions, run by traveller Rajmund Bagiński, asked us to film its expedition programme in the Tuva Republic, on Russia's border with Mongolia. No train or bus reaches the region, and we had thirty days, the length of a tourist visa.
A three-person crew travelled with Tridon's guides: two weeks rafting the Little Yenisei, horse trips, fishing, and off-road routes in GAZ-66 and Ural-4320 trucks, one stretch taking 13 hours for 120 km. Power came from a generator when it worked, so we relied on battery-free kit such as a Flycam HD-4000 stabiliser and kept every clip on three copies. We also filmed the Naadam festival on the steppe and a short film about a young disabled man's trip into the taiga.
The result is a set of promotional films covering each type of excursion, and a documentary about the people and landscapes of Tuva.
