Our sister studio Husarska designed the Omni desk and chair for furniture maker Paged Meble and needed a film to present the desk. The aim was to show how it is built and what it does, but from a design point of view rather than as a feature-by-feature sales video.
We produced the animation entirely in-house, working closely with the Husarska designers. The camera moves through the desk's construction and focuses on the materials, details and the ways the desk can be used, so its functions come across through the design itself. Modelling, animation and rendering were done in Autodesk Maya, Blender and Cinema 4D.
The result is a 30-second product animation that presents Omni the way a designer would, with the material and form first and the specification second.
